A Cambridgeshire based logistics firm are pulling out all the stops, as part of a charity lorry pull to help change the lives of disabled children.

Buffaload Logistics, whose Head Office is in Ellington, are raising monies for National children’s charity, The Boparan Charitable Trust, with the fundraiser dubbed “Buffaload versus The Beast”.

The event will take place on Saturday 8th July and will see teams from across their business go head to head with the World’s strongest man, Eddie Hall, known as “the Beast”.

The teams and Eddie will be pulling lorries over a twenty-metre course in the hope of raising over £25,000 for The Boparan Charitable Trust.

Julie Feltwell, Managing Director of Buffaload said “We are delighted to be able to support such an amazing charity with this event. There is a real buzz for it amongst our staff and drivers, everyone is wanting to take on the Beast, including a team led by our driver/driver trainer Tracey.”

Tracey Tatton, driver/driver trainer for Buffaload, said “It was a real privilege to meet Eddie the other day, he is truly a gentle giant. Not to be out done, I will be leading the Buffaload ladies against Eddie.”

Gareth Aston, Event Manager for the Boparan Charitable Trust, said “We are honoured that Buffaload are hosting this event on behalf of the Trust, in addition to having Eddie supporting the day. It will be a fantastic occasion and will help to change the lives of children across the UK.”

In May Eddie became the first Brit to be crowned World’s Strongest Man in over 24 years, by lifting the title in Botswana, South Africa.
