The winners of the annual HOYER/MAN Dealer Of The Year Awards have been announced.

The awards cover three categories for Dealer, Technician and Outstanding Performer Of The Year and salute outstanding achievements in customer service, compliance and safety in the industry.

Allan Davison said: “The awards recognise those maintenance providers with an outstanding performance throughout the year, in addition to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the success of the HOYER Petrolog fleet.”

The Dealer of the Year Award went to Pullman Fleet Services (Ellesmere Port). The business delivered a 100 per cent record on safety and scored an impressive 96.4 per cent on fleet availability with a 98.8 per cent MOT pass rate.

The technician of the year winner was Gwynne Jones (Pullman Fleet Services Ellesmere Port).

Peter Ellison, Head of Fleet Services, SHEQ & Compliance and one of the judges said: “Gwynne has presented virtually every HOYER MOT this year and through completing thorough quality checks has maintained a solid first time pass rate on the HOYER contract for the past two years. He has taken ownership of the first time pass rate for PFS and provides feedback from the test station sharing best practice to the rest of the workshop. Gwynne has developed and maintained a good professional relationship with VOSA at all times and achieved credibility with the testers.”

The Outstanding Performer of The Year Awards went to Nathan Adcock (Workshop Controller, Aquila Truck Centre). The judges praised Nathan’s commitment and attention to detail as well as his ability to build strong working relationships.

“He always puts in the extra hours to support our operation and provides an outstanding level of communication and is always on the phone, providing updates. All HOYER jobs are given top priority and dealt with efficiently and quickly.”

The Special Recognition Award went to Jess’ Adlard who runs the operation at HRVS Scunthorpe.

Peter Ellison said: “Although Jess technical skills have always been without question he has made the move into management without losing his drive for a thorough knowledge and understanding of not only technical specifications but design and safety enhancements.”

Keith Sims, Group Operations Director for HRVS Group Ltd said he was delighted with the recognition for Jess Adlard.

He said: “Jess has been an awarded some form of recognition since HRVS involvement with HOYER over the last 3 years. Jess is an exceptional master technician turned manager with a truly devoted commitment to not only HRVS Group but the HOYER side of the business which account for a substantial part of Scunthorpe’s operation.”
