Iron Mountain, the global leader in innovative storage and information management services, has once again expanded its UK operation with the acquisition of a major new site in Warwickshire. The investment is in response to the growing market demand for the company’s storage expertise.

The Intergra facility on Precision Park, Leamington Spa, covers more than 156,000 square feet and will become the home of up to 23,000 pallets. The site, which is strategically situated between the M40 and the Warwick Bypass, was selected because it offers Iron Mountain a commercially important location for its growing UK client base. Its recent space acquisitions in Chester and the Midlands, have already been filled by a contract with a major healthcare provider.

“This modern new facility will ensure that our customers can securely store their important assets or stock for rapid access whenever they’re needed,” Phil Shepley, VP and General Manager, Northern Europe at Iron Mountain. “Demand for our secure storage services continues to grow in the UK – the Leamington Spa site is yet another exciting addition to our offer that has been specifically designed to meet that space shortage requirement.”

Once fully operational, the Intergra facility will create several job openings, which will generate a welcome boost to the local economy. The shared-user warehouse will be fully racked and offer customers the ability to manage their space requirements as document collections expand and contract. Services will include container loading and unloading, as well as a range of fulfilment services, such as pick and pack and inventory manipulation. The warehouse is fully secured with CCTV cameras and monitored access controls.

“Iron Mountain has years of expertise protecting valuable assets and the same chain of custody will be applied to this facility as elsewhere around the globe,” said Shepley. “We know the value that our customers place on our offline and offsite storage expertise – this latest investment extends that offer, safely and efficiently.”
