It’s official – if you can’t stand the heat, you certainly don’t need to stay out of Hitchin, as proven by Hertfordshire-based Principal Climate Technologies (PCT).

The specialist wholesale supplier of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technology has signed an exclusive supply chain deal with Aztek Logistics for the UK-wide distribution of global industry-leading Daikin solutions.

Hitchin-based PCT required a logistics partner to manage its extensive Daikin inventory and product flow in line with customer demand throughout the year, for commercial building services contractors and installers who require HVAC systems on a just-in-time basis.

Pallet-Track network member Aztek Logistics manages high volumes of sophisticated Daikin products – systems and components – on behalf of PCT from its 150,000 sq ft warehouse in Letchworth Garden City, which utilises the latest warehouse management technology to locate and dispatch products to the four corners of the UK to meet demand.

Principal Climate is a specialist supplier of Daikin equipment thanks to its in-depth knowledge of its technology and HVAC applications. This enables it to offer the very best climate technology and technical support to contractors, consultants, installers and architects across the UK.

Michelle Pike, founder and owner of Principal Climate Technologies said:

“It was critical for us to find a supply chain partner that could hold high levels of inventory and call off Daikin product for critical delivery across the UK at a moment’s notice.

We pride ourselves on delivering an outstanding service to customers, so it was important for us to work with a business that could handle large volume and specialist equipment, and flexible demand to meet the requirements of an ever-changing and dynamic market.”

Duncan Pannell, operations director at Aztek Logistics, said:

“We are delighted to have been selected by Principal Climate Technologies as its supply chain partner.

It is the UK’s only specialist wholesaler of Daikin, a world-leading manufacturer of heating, air conditioning and ventilation technology, including its accessories and spare parts, which we also manage on its behalf.

This is a business that requires a lot of specialist knowledge and inventory management so the right HVAC equipment must arrive at the right location as scheduled.

Any delays or missed windows, can be costly for contractors and installers, so we are relied on to deliver on time.”
