Truck Mounted Forklift manufacturer, Loadmac, is declaring itself “the new name for truck mounted forklifts”; powered by product innovations and a new UK sales network which the company will unveil at Truckfest Peterborough in May 2019.

Based in Ross on Wye, Loadmac is the only truck mounted forklift manufactured in Britain, and will be exhibiting at Truckfest for the first time, in partnership with their new UK dealer, Atlas Cranes UK. Visitors to Truckfest in Peterborough and Malvern will have the opportunity to experience live demonstrations of the full Loadmac range, including the brand-new Loadmac 225, due for release later this year.

Designed to meet the growing demand for compact truck mounted forklifts, the Loadmac 225 has been in development and testing for 4 years. Now ready for launch, Loadmac believe the product will be the new benchmark for compact truck mounted forklifts. Designed for maximum payload and reduced running costs, the Loadmac 225 features:

  • 2500kg lifting capability
  • 2000kg – 2200kg overall weight
  • Standard or Multi-directional technology (4-way steering)

Additionally, across their entire product range, the Loadmac iSR (integrated second reach) continues to provide hauliers with the best solution for one-side offload.  Reaching the full width of a trailer bed and capable of double stacking (even inside a curtainsider) with standard forks.  It was a revolution when first introduced 6 years ago and continues to be the best one-side offload solution available.  Improvements in hydraulic rams, bushes, bearings and pins have all helped to reduce maintenance, prolong service life and make it the most compact one-side offload solution in the world.

Ambitious plans

Loadmac Managing Director, Mark Hignett, explains, “There is a ‘Tipp-Ex’ and a ‘Hoover’, in our industry – we all know who they are. Our mission this year is to disrupt that stronghold, and position Loadmac as the new name for truck mounted forklifts.”

Having steadily grown their market share over the last five years Loadmac has identified 2019 as an important year in their growth ambitions. In a signal of their intent to grow UK market share, the company has appointed Atlas Cranes UK to be responsible for all sales and aftersales of the product to UK customers.

Mark Hignett, continued: “Loadmac is a product proven the world over. We have a presence across Europe, we are growing rapidly in North America and we are market leader in Australia. Now is the time to use this platform to focus our attention on the domestic market and Atlas is the perfect partner to help us achieve this. We are delighted to be exhibiting on their stand at Truckfest.”

A nationwide sales and service network

Atlas Cranes UK is a division of long-established German company Atlas GmbH, and provides a wide range of small, medium and large truck loader cranes to customers nationwide. The Loadmac product will be dual branded in the UK and sold in Atlas’ signature orange brand colour.

Atlas has a network of fifty service centres and mobile engineers, and their Managing Director Jim Smith believes the Loadmac product will be a perfect fit for their product portfolio. Smith remarked: “It makes total sense for us and we can’t wait to show customers what the Loadmac can do at Truckfest this year. We will be selling the product to the same types of customers we are already working with. We pride ourselves on being able to provide our customers with a one-stop-shop solution and Loadmac will fill that gap in our offer. Our engineers will be able to service both cranes and forklifts at the same time, meaning big operational advantages for our customers too.”

Smith concluded, “Most importantly for us though, it’s a top-class product and the fact it is manufactured in the UK means we can offer customers unrivalled lead-times and competitive pricing”.
