Department heads and senior managers came together from across Europa for its third annual management conference, as the business celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Senior team members from Hong Kong to Glasgow, Bristol to Newcastle and Manchester to Dartford from across Europa’s worldwide operations in air, sea, logistics and road transport travelled to the annual meeting in south Yorkshire, near Doncaster, where Managing Director Andrew Baxter spoke to them about the importance of consolidating and optimising success in 2017.

He said: “The last three years have seen us overcome some big challenges, which we addressed through a strategic restructuring process and targeted expansions of resources in key geographical hotspots. We’ve also voted as a country to leave the EU – a decision I wholly backed – and are now embarking on a Brave New World of business in which optimisation of our strengths will be a key factor.

“Every Europa team member has played a major role in creating and sustaining this success and I am extremely proud of the strides we have made as a business over the last three years.”

The business’s year-long 50th anniversary celebrations will involve events to thank and acknowledge employees and customers for the part they have played in the company’s success, as well as fundraising for charity.

Europa Worldwide Group employs 600 people across 11 sites in the UK plus Hong Kong and is represented in 100 countries.
