Clugston Construction, one of the UK’s leading building and civil engineering companies with offices in Hebburn,Tyne and Wear, has successfully handed over a new Truck Stop and Lorry Park for Exelby Services at Coneygarth on the A1 motorway.
The new state-of-the-art amenity, which provides parking for up to 80 lorries with re–fuelling facilities for HGVs and LGVs, replaces the Londonderry Garage. Sister company Clugston Distribution provided the first fuel delivery, an example of how the Clugston Group provides a diverse range of services throughout the North East.
Clugston Construction, one of the UK’s leading regional construction and civil engineering companies and part of the privately owned Clugston Group, which has offices in Hebburn Tyne and Wear, has successfully handed over a new Truck Stop and Lorry Park for Exelby Services at Coneygarth on the A1 motorway. With a value of £4.4 million, the new state-of-the-art facility represents a new era for Exelby Services and replaces the Londonderry Garage, which was on the site previously.
The completed amenity provides parking for up to 80 lorries and has re-fuelling facilities for HGVs and LGVs. Other features include a Costa Coffee, a Subway sandwich bar and a fully stocked mini market. Showers and wash-rooms are also available on-site for lorry drivers that choose to use the overnight car parking facility.
The first fuel delivery to the new Truck Stop was carried out by Clugston’s sister company Clugston Distribution, an example of how Clugston Group provides a diverse range of services throughout the North East.
