“Established in 1969, Somerset based warehousing and distribution service provider R.T. Keedwell has collected a recent order of 80 new trailers from Lawrence David. The new trailers come at a perfect time for Stuart Keedwell and Jon White at R.T. Keedwell Group, who have also just received 50 new 2nd generation Euro 6 Mercedes tractor units, which will be pulling the new trailers nationwide throughout the Keedwell network.
The 13.7M long straight frame, tri-axle trailers are TUV EN 12642-XL certified, each hanging Lawrence David Amoursheet-XL load bearing curtain’s able to safely contain unsecured loads of up to 3500kg. The trailers feature R.T. Keedwell’s recognisable blue, white and red colour scheme from the blue and red wheel rims, stand out fully painted red chassis to the matching blue curtain strap webbings.
The new trailers also feature LED corner lights fitted to the front and rear top corners, one piece alloy roof sheet with exclusive Lawrence David track and valance, twin row galvanised steel load retention track, Bridgestone tyres and a pull out ladder fitted to the rear.
30 of the new trailers also come fitted with Joloda’s F-track flooring system. This system, designed to hold paper reels, allows for brackets to be fitted in various position along the track, allowing for multiple configurations.
The new order of trailers is a testament to the long association between R.T. Keedwell and Lawrence David, having ordered the first Pillarless Curtainsider from LD in the early 90’s. The bond between these two organisations is definitely strong, and one that Lawrence David are proud to be a part of, supplying trailers that can be relied upon for years to come.
