Now approaching its 65th year of successful trading, Cartwright the leading UK trailer manufacturer and services group, has been named by the Sunday Times as one of 10 “rising companies to recognise” in the Top Track 250 league table of Britain’s private mid-market companies

The company has achieved unprecedented growth across all divisions including Manufacture, Engineering , Rentals, Fleet Services, Finance and Cartwright Conversions as demand for its products and related services is hitting record levels.

Cartwright was recognised for both its award winning apprenticeship scheme as well as its growth in the refrigerated market which boosted turnover levels to over £125 million at 31 March 2016

Mark Cartwright, Group Managing Director commented, “To be recognised by the Sunday Times as one of ten UK rising companies is a great achievement and testimony to the hard work of our loyal employees, apprentices and the management team. We have come a long way in the past three years – increasing turnover levels from £89m (2014) to a projected £134 million in the current year and this further reinforces our ambitious, but realistic growth plans as a key player in the transport sector.”

The company’s ground breaking engineering apprenticeship scheme, launched in 2012 to future-proof and safeguard essential skill sets, continues to provide a benchmark in the industry boasting a year-on-year intake of 40 apprentices, who support Cartwright´s existing 110 apprentices who are already making a positive contribution to the business.

It is a true success story and one which has developed due to Cartwright’s clear vision and understanding of the industry it serves, enabling the company to develop a range of innovative solutions to meet the needs of the market.
