Haulage and logistics specialist Transmode has seen strong growth in its operations in the past six months, with a new Birmingham depot, new vehicles and trailers placing the UK-based transport firm in a position to more flexibly meet the needs of its customers.
Transmode has grown its business significantly since it was founded in 2009, and the opening of a new Birmingham depot in March 2016 set the stage for further expansion. With existing operational sites at locations including Felixstowe, London Gateway and Seaforth, the new Birmingham depot supports Transmode’s Southampton business and expands their logistics and haulage operations throughout the UK.
Transmode’s recent investment in a fleet of new vehicles for its Birmingham depot is a move designed to facilitate delivery of a faster and smoother logistics operation across the region, and to offer clients more efficient and flexible road transport solutions, whatever their needs. The new fleet of GPS-equipped trucks will support their commitment to providing its customers with a swift and highly dependable cargo haulage service.
The Birmingham depot’s new fleet is only the latest in a series of investments aimed at expanding and improving Transmode’s service offerings, which include container transportation and storage, haulage and logistics consultancy, and specialised equipment services.
This latest fleet expansion builds on earlier operational growth by Transmode in April 2016, when the company took delivery of ten new trailers. These included both low loader and side loaders, further enhancing the types of cargo the fleet is able to handle, as well as allowing much greater flexibility and efficiency in loading and unloading on-site without the need to bring in additional handling equipment.
With a new depot, an expanded fleet – and a brand new website – the last six months have seen Transmode achieve impressive growth for such a relatively young company.
