John Raymond Transport Ltd., part of the Nolan Group, has invested in six Volvo FH tractor units from dealer Truck and Bus Wales & West.
The new trucks are additions to the fleet, due to additional work and expansion since the acquisition of John Raymond Transport Ltd., by the Nolan Group in September 2016.

John Raymond Transport Ltd., Managing Director Paul Johns reports that the purchasing decision was based on a combination of operational factors, including the good performance on fuel consumption of the fleet’s existing Volvo FH tractor units and the back-up received from Truck and Bus Wales & West.

“We purchased 50 Volvo tractor units approximately four years ago. They, and the Volvo dealership, have performed well during that period, with very little downtime,” explained Paul Johns.

“Our decision was based on fuel consumption, feedback about the back-up we receive from Truck and Bus Wales & West, as well as feedback from our drivers about the trucks. The Volvo marque offers a quality image to our customers at a competitive price,” he added.

“Truck and Bus Wales & West and their sales team played a significant part in the decision making process,” continued Paul Johns, adding, “They were also able to provide the units at short notice.”

John Raymond Transport Ltd.’s new Volvo FH tractor units are operating out of Bridgend, Cannock and Swindon. All are on Volvo R&M contracts with Truck and Bus Wales & West.
