Truck enthusiasts weren’t short of things to see when MAN Truck & Bus Northampton provided a fantastic display of 15 vehicles at Silverstone Truck Festival.

Vehicles taken along included a TGX XL limited edition vehicle, a TGS 8×4, a TGS tractor unit, a TGL, a TGM and one of the first MAN’s imported into the country, a 1954 415 L1 bonneted truck which takes pride of place in the reception at MAN’s Swindon headquarters.

In addition to this, MAN took a specialist recovery vehicle, commonly used in the military, which proved to be a real showstopper amongst visitors to the stand.

The Silverstone Truck Festival is a national event that sees over 22,000 people visit the famous track circuit in Towcester. A weekend for all the family, the festival showcased over 20 truck races throughout the weekend, as well as off-track entertainment including a show truck display parade, truck market area an open paddock where visitors could take part in live demos and test drive new models.

Jim Snape, MAN Truck & Bus Northampton General Manager, said: “Silverstone Truck Festival was a real success. With around 60% of the vehicles competing in races branded MAN, it was an excellent opportunity to increase our brand awareness at the event.

“We have distributed over 120 tickets to our customers at the Northampton dealership and it was lovely to see some familiar faces visiting our stand.

“It was our first time at this event and we will certainly consider returning in the future.”
